Marcos Santos is a tenor from Portugal who currently lives in Savannah and his solo performances include soloist works by Mendelssohn's Elijah with the New Jersey Orchestra, and in Haydn's Saint Nicolai Messe with the Summit Chamber Orchestra and also with the Savannah Philharmonic orchestra and all over the United States.
Marcos Santos studied voice at Mannes College of Music on the graduate program.
As a recitalist he has performed solo Recitals all over the world, in Tokyo at Suntory Hall in Yokohama and Morioka in the presence of HRH The Imperatrice Princess. In Madrid at Escorial, in Paris at the Conservatoire Superieur, in Sweden in Malmo and Unsgskar, in Lisbon, Azores and recently in New York City at the Merkin Hall, Stamford – Connecticut.
Recently, Mr. Santos did the United States premiere of the opera Medea by the greek composer Theodorakis in New York city, with great acclamation by the press.
Marcos Santos also partners with a local pianist when you prefer live accompaniment.
